Workshop for high school and college journalists of color

From our friends at the Greater St. Louis Association of Black Journalists: St. Louis-area high school and early college students are invited to apply to attend the 2022 GSLABJ Minority Journalism Workshop, a free program to provide skills training and networking resources for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors and first- and second-year college students. The 2022 workshop will be held from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. on Saturdays from February 12–March 5 at Webster University. Local media professionals will lead workshop sessions and help students develop their skills in interviewing, writing/reporting, self-editing, photography, and radio and TV. This is a great way to get a head start on a journalism career!

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

The GSLABJ’s journalism workshop began in 1977 and has inspired similar programs around the country. The program includes scholarships for outstanding students.
